5 Tips on Setting Boundaries (& Why It's Important!)
Excited to finally share more about my journey going from lifestyle to wellness blogger to now an EFT Practitioner (among many other things!) courtesy of the Yes Supply Method! I love reading about people’s journeys because it shows how amazing we are with our own personal evolution. There’s something beautiful about honoring the phase you’re in and allowing yourself to morph accordingly, you know?
I got all my amazing certifications from Yes Supply (including EFT – you know, the tool I won’t shut up about on socials lol). In this post, I will be sharing my honest experience of the program! There is also free training to familiarize yourself with Yes Supply and a link to sign up for the program.
Well let’s backtrack, shall we? If you’ve been following me circa 2016, I started off as an LA-based lifestyle blogger which slowly morphed into a wellness space. I moved to Boston, started sharing my experiences in grad school, and became more vocal about my upbringing going from DV shelter to motel to basically being on survival mode. Long story short – I enjoyed working with brands on campaigns but knew I wanted to do MORE. A few people reached out to me asking if I did coaching and at first, I thought coaching only applied to those in the fitness industry.
Enter Yes Supply.
The Yes Supply Method is a proven life coaching system that blends science backed techniques with spiritual laws and manifestation. By the end of the program, I became certified in 5 different certifications – a Mindset Coach, Neural Energetic Wiring Practitioner (blending somatics, NLP, and TIME techniques), Neural Energetic Encoding (subconscious coaching modalities, breath, and energy), Clinical Hypnotherapy Practitioner, and EFT Practitioner.
What a mouthful 😛
Now full disclaimer – you don’t need to be certified to be a coach or mentor in this space. However, I went after it because I wanted to learn incredible science-backed techniques and wanted to experience it for myself before sharing with others! Going into Yes Supply, I was doing very surface-level mindset work. You know the typical “repeat these affirmations to have a wonderful day!” type of work. However, surface-level work wasn’t working for me anymore.
That’s when I realized the TRUE power of the subconscious mind aka the things you do without needing to think about it like breathing! At that point, I was doing everything the Instagram gurus were telling me to do. However, I wasn’t being intentional with my subconscious, so my subconscious mind did not get the memo that I was trying to change these habits.
AKA I was trying to download a new app onto an old PC running on Windows 95. It wasn’t compatible!
My subconscious was outdated and in dire need of reprogramming in order for the new habits and beliefs to kick in. So, I guess you could say, I was doing Yes Supply for ME. I took this training from September 2021 to February 2022 where I met a bunch of beautiful souls in my cohort.
During the training, you receive weekly calls with one of Reese’s trainer team, lots of practice time with other students to integrate the learnings and plenty of time to ask questions. You also get monthly calls with Reese where you can ask questions about coaching, techniques, mindset and your business! As a collective, it was an incredible experience because you got a ton of face time with fellow trainees and the coaching team to learn from and grow with.
I had such a transformation while going through the program. While on the live calls, I got the chance to practice a few techniques. A couple that resonated with me were Parts Integration and EFT. Before doing the techniques, I was feeling stuck and lost with zero clarity headed in 50 different directions. However, after the techniques, I felt a lot clearer and grew to be kinder to myself. I was honestly amazed the techniques worked so quickly because I will be honest, I was a bit skeptical! Like surely these are just regular surface-level exercises to make you think you’re experiencing it?
But I kid you not, I felt a shift in my BODY. And I think that’s where the disconnect is. Mindset work isn’t all MIND work. It requires us to connect with our body and do some somatic work for that powerful transformation. That’s what I love about Yes Supply – there is science and research to show you how, what, and why you’re affected by these techniques.
It encourages you to explore deeper and shift the state you’re in, so you can truly embody the change you want to experience. Yes Supply also has a psychologist hosting Q&As to share more about the science, which is key especially if you are not into all the woo-woo and want some science behind things.
Going through this certification has not only allowed me in my personal life, but it also allowed me to show up for others both in the virtual and in-person space.
