5 Tips on Setting Boundaries (& Why It's Important!)
New year, new goals.
How overwhelming is the narrative? While I love a good refresh, I also know the subtle stress that comes with the New Year. I’ve been seeing everyone on IGs posting their cute planning sessions for the upcoming year. Meanwhile, I’m here on the couch enjoying a fake fireplace vibe on my TV, courtesy of YouTube. Haha, not complaining though.
And I get it. GOALS ARE IMPORTANT. They serve as a blueprint to where we want to go and foreshadow the amount of work we’d need to be putting in for Q1-Q4.
BUT I’m also all about living in flow with goals… meaning setting goals that are actually enjoyable and setting goals in alignment.
Okay, I know. More “woo woo” for ya. Hear me out. Do you ever set goals sometimes that just seem so out of control? The overwhelming list that just sits there on your desk and you’re just prolonging the deadlines each week bc you can’t stand the thought of even acknowledging that list?

If this speaks to you, I GET IT. I’ve been there.
I used to write crazy ambitious goals in my planner AND Google docs only to just never look at them again… until 5 months later to get a lil’ refresher of ALL the things I was supposed to have done. LOL.
What I’ve found is that while these goals were along the path of where I aspired to go, I was not embodying my future self while writing these out.
In order to get there, we need a blueprint.
You want to execute on the action plan and blueprint knowing that this is all adding up to something great.
Now, I want you to visualize. That means setting up a space that’s clear and open to receiving. Set the mood/vibes and get deep.
Step into your future self and determine a specific outcome.
Now that you’re done visualizing, I want you to state your goal with positive language.
This should be something that lights your soul on FIRE. You can feel ALL the vibrations and good vibes.
For ex: I want to have 3 amazing coaching clients by X timeframe.
& the next part is KEY. Let’s really step into our future self here and future pace our goal.
For ex: “It is now February 2022 and I have 3 amazing coaching clients!! I am so happy and excited to be working with them.”
…and now it’s time to bring it back to our present self and speak to us in present tense.
“I have everything I need. I am attracting 3 clients as we speak.”
Phew! I know, this was a lengthy process but TRUST ME — visualizing your future self is LIFE CHANGING.
Whatever your goals are, you’d KNOW that they are in alignment when you are eager to look at that list, when you trust yourself to take baby steps based on YOUR timeline, when you’re laser focused on yourself vs. what everyone else is doing, when you just KNOW this is it.
