5 Tips on Setting Boundaries (& Why It's Important!)
Retail therapy. You either love it or hate it. Either way, it can be rather therapeutic for you… not so much your bank account 😉 Anyway, I took advantage of this year’s Amazon Prime Day. I made sure to take note of everything that has been on my mind lately to avoid spending on things just because they were on sale. I learned that not everything on sale is considered a sale, if you know what I mean. While the camera I wanted did not go on sale, I still managed to cop some of my latest must-haves! Here are some of my top picks –
I used to wear Beats by Dre headphones (those giant ear muffs!!), but it got pretty overwhelming on my ears. So, I finally decided to venture out to the wireless earbuds world! Whoohoo, I didn’t have a specific brand in mind and depended heavily on the reviews (thank you, loyal Amazon customers!!). I finally opted for this super adorb rose gold set. How on brand, is this?! I have been using them at the gym, and while it took a little bit of adjustment, I loved how easy and portable they are. (It definitely makes jump squats a lot easier!)
Okay, so I recently hopped on the essential oils wagon a few months ago. I wanted to test some out before sharing them on here. So far, I’ve tried castor oil for my eyelashes and eyebrows (I literally have none…), and they’ve worked wonders! I’m still a little slow on making it a regular thing, but once I incorporate it daily again, I’m sure the results would be more evident. Consistency is key 🙂 Another favorite is the rosehip seed oil. This works well mixed in with moisturizer and works great as a primer. Makeup application is a lot smoother with this. It also helps out with my awkward combination skin (yikes!) and gives just the perfect amount of moisture.
Because what is summer without some fun accessories, right? LOL I got myself a Boston Red Sox hat pending my move to the east coast shortly. I’ve always been a fan of east coast sports teams and felt like it was finally time to stock on some gear. I also wanted to add to my hat collection, ideal for hiking and other summer-y outdoor activities.
I also thought about all the pool parties plus day club fiestas and decided to invest in this waterproof phone case. It is basically a dry pouch bag that fits your phone, ID, credit card… Super ideal for going out to events especially when you don’t want to carry a giant bag around! (Think Vegas shenanigans, clubbing, kayaking, hiking, etc).
I got this recommendation from Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential. She is one of my all-time fav bloggers out there, so check her out if you haven’t already done so! Anyway, I purchased an ice roller, which helps revitalize your face, decrease irritation and redness, and prevents wrinkle formation. I used to do it the old-fashioned way – take an ice cube and roll it all over until the ice diminishes, but I decided it was much easier to invest in something more portable and something less drip-y? LOL.
I also got myself another roller. It is another beauty skincare must-have in my opinion. This tool has microneedles on it to help stimulate your skin cells and helps with scars/pigmentation. I purchased the one in 0.25mm, which is pretty standard. I’ve used it for about a couple of weeks now, so I’ll be sure to report back with my results!
That’s it for now! What are some of your Amazon top picks right now? Happy shopping!
