5 Tips on Setting Boundaries (& Why It's Important!)
While we all love a good foliage and apple farms, does anyone else feel like we also need to bring fall indoors?! Regardless if you’re a loud + proud homebody like me, don’t let that get in the way of living your best fall life. Besides seeing foliage in its natural state, let’s brainstorm ways to do fall indoors and enjoy some cozy fall activities, yeah?!
Me, me, and me! Don’t get me wrong, I love Starbucks + their Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. In fact, I don’t think I actually go to Starbucks for anything BUT their cold brews. However, I’m not a fan of spending $$ on coffee. Call me cheap, but if I can make myself a lovely cup of coffee every morning, you bet I’m going to learn how to be a part-time barista. For me personally, that means learning how to make the pumpkin cold foam while Brian makes cold brew (#partnerincrime).
Now that I have my own “grown up” space, I’ve paid more attention to my sanctuary. How many pumpkins do I have? Not sure, but I think that could make a fun game 😛 Michael’s has been my go-to for fall decor, including this garland that has now become an accessory to the TV. I’m not saying you have to vomit fall all over your apartment but definitely try and bring the outdoors inside! I also got some apple cinnamon potpourri and ginger pumpkin scented candles bc yes, ya girl is basic.
I’m no creative DIY guru, but I also plan on getting some journals + yarn for more decor. Hopefully, they turn out as cute as I envision.
My dear friend Sarabeth is QUEEN of decor (see below). Check out her fall decor from last year!
Hello #SweaterWeather! I’m not sure where all my sweaters went. I feel like I donated a ton prior to moving and now have zero clothes besides sweatpants! Layering in all the fall sweaters + cardigans can definitely make you feel like you’re living your best life though. I’m so happy to have central air, so I can actually feel the temperature “drop.”
Maybe I’m basic, but get some cider from your local farm or grocery store and heat it up! Stir with cinnamon sticks and there you have it, FALL!
If you’re a little less basic though, you can make your own cider LOL.
Pumpkin bread, pumpkin oat cookies, pumpkin cheesecake. I have a whole board on Pinterest saved privately for me to try. This week, I finally found pumpkin puree + made pumpkin bread! I decided to turn it up a notch by getting some baking molds to amplify my art 😉 I may have overbaked the bread a little, BUT at least it’s pretty right?
Okay, don’t knock it till you try it but HELLO PUMPKIN RAMEN. Pumpkin broth is seriously AMAZING, and I loved it when I tried it at a local ramen place here in Boston. While I’m all for dessert, I think pumpkin is underestimated in the savory dish world.
I’m not a Michael’s ambassador or anything, but have you seen their fake leaves?! You can use them for props in photos! Create your own little pumpkin farm inside and take all the photos! We don’t have a couch right now (LOL), so I think we have potential to utilize all this space. What do we think?
Get in your flannel pjs, eat some pumpkin treats, light up a fall scent, and put on a fall movie!
