5 Tips on Setting Boundaries (& Why It's Important!)
Hi everyone!
So lately I’ve been such a “yogi,” trying out different yoga sessions at various studios throughout LA. I decided to expand my wellness mantra by doing some online reading on holistic approaches where I came across one thing that struck out the most – Ayurvedic medicine.
I’ve heard a few things about Ayurvedic medicine, but I never really thought much into it. For those who don’t know, Ayurveda (for short) is one of the oldest approaches to medicine and began in India with this belief that health and wellness are all dependent upon the mind, body, spirit relationship. Balance, they say.
For instance, if your mind, body, and spirit are all aligned with the universe, then you must have good health. If something such as your emotions disrupts even the slightest part of this relationship, you would then get sick.
Those who practice Ayurveda also believe that earth, fire, water, space, and air are the five elements that shape us. What intrigued me about this approach is the three energies or doshas that control how your body works. The three types are:
Everyone has a mix of these, but one is often stronger than the other. Curious on what your dosha is? I know, I would be too. I took a quiz here and found out I belong to #TeamPitta (anyone else?!) It’s interesting reading about the different energies as well as recommended diets, meal plans, daily routine rituals, etc. I wanted to make this easy and visual for you all, so below you will find a Cliffnotes version (you’re welcome 😉 ).

Cool, huh? Almost feel like we could be in a sorority together ♥ LOL. On a serious note – does anyone else believe in Ayurvedic medicine? Do you live by it? Thoughts/comments… I think I’ll give this holistic approach a try. It wouldn’t hurt! Can’t wait to chat! xo
