5 Tips on Setting Boundaries (& Why It's Important!)
Wowow, isn’t it funny how January felt like forever; meanwhile, February FLEW. Anyway, I hope everyone’s doing amazing. I’ve been pretty exhausted lately with my 9-5 and couple of night classes, but it’s fine! I keep telling myself, April 30th will be here soon enough!! As promised, I have some February Favorites to share!!!
I wanted to share similar categories from January, but it’s much easier for me to just type out all of my favs and go from there.
Anyway, let me know what you think down below and please share some of your favs!! 🙂
I say edible bc “snacks” limited me to only talking about food… and what if I wanted to share a drink? I’ve been very much into turmeric, so I tried out Four Sigmatic’s Golden Mushroom Latte mix and wow! This drink is not only yummy, but it basically beautifies you from the inside out!
I have also been loving Rebbl’s Reishi Chocolate drink, an elixer of dark cocoa, vanilla, and reishi — perfect for a little mid-afternoon pick-me-up/snack as it keeps me full!
In addition to my January favs, I’ve been listening to a couple of new podcasts. First things first, I’m big on dark mystery/”whoa that really happened?” type of stuff. I was introduced to Uncover NXVIM’s podcast dishing out the scoop on the group, its leader Keith Raniere and one woman’s journey to get out of this unhealthy MLM-type situation. It’s honestly mind-boggling how this all unfolded. I’m still on Season 1 Episode 3, but I promise you it’s good!! (Thank you Alyana for introducing it to me!)
On that note, I’ve also been watching Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes. I finished Abducted at Plain Sight last month and was intrigued to keep going. I’m not in any way dark in that manner, but I’m always curious and eager to learn. I highly recommend (although I wouldn’t recommend watching right before bed! Watch an episode of Friends before bed for sure!)
I feel it’s important to highlight who I’m into on social media right now, so for February, my fav influencer has to be @alwaysalyssamarie of the blog Always Alyssa Marie. I actually met Alyssa last summer when we were both living in NYC. We had both been following each other for a while and when our stars finally aligned, we finally set up a date to meet! Both SoCal girls, we naturally connected and bonded. Over the following months, I’ve had the pleasure of following her journey. Please check her out for all things life + style!
I’ve been on the go for the past month now, so you know I needed to include one of my favorite grocery items of all time: Trader Joe’s Seafood Paella. It’s quick, easy, and actually keeps you full! Perfect if you’re having a seafood craving on a random Monday and you’re not trying to make it to the harbor (I feel you on that!)
My current beauty product has to be Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo. It’s funny, my mom had actually gotten me a bottle during my last trip to LA bc I told her I was just not about that whole “shampoo your hair every other day” thing. Fast forward, Influenster sent me ANOTHER NYM’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo… only this time, it’s tinted dark brown! I used it today on Day Four (no judgment, right?!) and it worked wonders on this greasy rat hair. Thank you Influenster for saving me another trip to CVS. Everyone knows I’m very much into a dry shampoo moment. Oops.
Anyway, that’s all! My #favorites series has been pretty much trial-and-error tbh, so let me know if this format works better or the previous one! What are some of your favs?!
Have a wonderful rest of your week, loves!
