5 Tips on Setting Boundaries (& Why It's Important!)
Hi all!
Hope everyone’s having a fulfilled weekend 🙂
Yesterday, I attended the Love Long Beach Festival in Shoreline Village and let me tell you – I was immediately enlightened! I don’t know, the moment I entered, I instantly felt like my vibrations were raised, if that makes sense.
For those who have been keeping up to date with my life, I’ve been spending A LOT of my time at the mechanic lately (6 times in 2 weeks to be exact plus ANOTHER appointment tomorrow… at the SAME mechanic!). I’ve been feeling a lot of negative and overwhelming energy to a point where I’d just sit in the dark trying to figure out life and gain clarity.
My friend Parisa and I had actually planned on going to the U.S. Open of Surfing 2017 in Huntington Beach, but let’s get real – we know nothing about surfing PLUS yesterday’s vibes at the festival proved that this was where I was meant to be. I believe in that type of stuff 🙂
From everyone’s friendly faces, good vibes, zero-fucks-giventype of dancing, sound baths, yoga/meditation sessions, crystal galore, etc… I felt so much joy and happiness that I decided to share some quick tips for that “instant” mood boost!
I actually JUST started doing this a few days ago, and already it has increased my productivity level. I’m no longer distracted by my social media notifications, and I’m thinking of moving on to text messages too. I’m not sure just yet though bc tbh, my mom would freak if I don’t respond to her text within 5-10 minutes. LOL, anyone else with me?
So I’ve recently ditched the whole 4-5x lifting at the gym routine. Lately, I’ve been incorporating mixes, so one day I’d be lifting weights at the gym, the next – I’d be hiking up random mountains in LA, and then the next, I’d be doing a rooftop HIIT session or cycling somewhere. Also because it’s summer, I want to begin utilizing this perfect SoCal weather by doing more outdoor workouts (ie: the beach). This is one of my favorite mood-boosting activity (#TeamEndorphins)
That’s right. Let’s ditch BYOB real quick, and move on to BRING YOUR OWN CRYSTAL. Personally, I don’t have one just yet, but after yesterday, I’m thinking of investing some time into learning more about crystals just for good energy, you know? Regardless of whether you believe in it or not, I believe in good positive energy and to be honest, I strongly believe ANYTHING can symbolize what a crystal does. For some, it may be the Holy Book, for others it may be a rabbit’s foot… Whatever it is, designate an item endearing to your heart and use it as an “anchor” throughout your somber days. I assure you, you’ll feel better instantly after redirecting your energy flow.
And I don’t mean JUST the hashtag either. We focus so much of our energy sometimes obsessed with social media (back to tip #1) and everyone else’s highlight reels that we end up wasting time. Rather than “hate” (I say hate loosely) on what everyone else is doing, let’s take the time to meditate the eff out of our souls. Sorry I’m completely unapologetic right now for being so vulgar. I’m just passionate on self-focus, self-healing type of thing. I guess I really enjoyed my time at the festival full of spiritual enthusiasts, huh? LOL.
Also, wanted to share that elixirs change your life. I had a tonic tea yesterday and viola, I felt radiant within a minute. Maybe I should make my own elixir and share on here? Thoughts?
Alright, those are my quick tips! Off I go to researching luggage sets (the countdown is real!!) What do you do for that instant mood-boost? Love to hear all about it!
